"A must-visit for seafood lovers! The Rojak Sotong and Char Kuey Teow are highly recommended—the squid and prawns are massive, fresh, and the portion size is well worth the price. Great for sharing with family or friends. Note: The Mee Goreng is just average compared to the other dishes. Why I love this place: • Free Perks: They offer unlimited free kuih (karipap, samosa, pau, etc.) and free refills of cold water. • Fast & Efficient: No queue if you arrive at opening hour, and service is very quick. • Clean Environment: Very comfortable to eat here as there are no flies thanks to traps placed everywhere. Great food, generous portions, and amazing hospitality. Definitely coming back!"
"Have you ever had a dining experience that leaves you eagerly motivated to leave a positive review? This is one of those places. Currently still viral on TikTok and Instagram, it is no surprise to expect crowds and lines. But the food is worth the wait. I arrived around 2:30 pm, but the tables were all filled! Gigantic portions of meaty whole squid and fresh prawns are served with your choice of carb, and it’s as good as it looks. The rojak sauce was sweet with a slight spice kick, pairing well with the seafood. The servers were friendly, and they play the game well by offering free kuihs while you wait for your food—which took about 30 minutes. Definitely saved to my list for any future Melaka food trip. Pro tip: their Lemak Bakar, which isn’t on the menu yet, is also delicious."
"For my taste bud the food was okay, not incredibly good. Just acceptable to be eaten. I take seafood jumbo (2-3pax) price RM100 (not including water). Cutlery & plate you have to take by your own. Parking was okay. Just atmosphere not so good because of flies i hate flies. They’re so annoying. Maybe the owner can buy flies trap or do deep clean to the restaurant."
"Parking may be a problem. Be prepared for the long queues. We came at 6pm on a Saturday and got a table at 630pm. They are prepared for the long queues and provided refreshment (sirap) whilst in the wait. Ordered rojak sotong & udang celup tepung. Food came about 15 min later (we are ok with that). Rojak sotong is big (for 2-3 persons as stated in the menu). Not to our liking as it we feel the sweetness of the kuah rojak does not go well with the sotong bakar. Sotong bakar was good but too big for our palates. Rojak sotong also consist of several smaller boiled prawns which we feel unnecessary. Udang celup tepung was the saviour, the prawns are large and well coated with batter, server piping hot. The sauce for udang celup tepung was delicious! Service was okay. Felt that we should have gotten a more savoury dish than rojak sotong. Overall good but probably not worth repeating considering the queue."
"The food taste really good and yummy!! Sotong and udang yang diserve segar. The portion is quite big. For me, the rojak was really good. They provide free kuih muih here. The drinks served in big size. Service was great. We waited around 10-15min for food to be served. Overall, totally worth ur penny"

Famous for its giant squid and prawn dishes, this place has rightfully earned its reputation as a must-visit for seafood lovers. The affordability of its menu makes it all the more inviting, ensuring that a great meal doesn’t have to come with an exorbitant price tag. The unique touch of complimentary kuih-muih for diners is a hallmark of their hospitality. It’s a simple gesture, yet it speaks volumes about their desire to make customers feel at home. There's an unspoken ethos here—don’t waste, appreciate what you have—that nurtures a feeling of community and respect. As popular as it is, the long queues can be daunting, but the thoughtful gesture of offering complimentary drinks while you wait speaks to the owners' understanding of customer care. It’s not just about the food here—it’s about the entire experience, from the moment you arrive to the time you leave. Though parking can be a bit of a challenge during peak times, the richness of the food and the service make up for it. This family-friendly spot, with ample portions and a baby chair ready for little ones, opens from 2:30 pm and stays open until 9:00 pm, offering a relaxing dining atmosphere for all. In a word, Warung Hijau Rojak Sotong is where generosity meets tradition, and the taste of the sea leaves an unforgettable impression."
"A must-visit for Sotong Bakar lovers. Their jumbo grilled squid is smoky, tender, and perfectly sauced—sweet, tangy, spicy, and nutty. Paired with fresh prawns, nasi lemak pattaya and kangkung, enough for 3 persons of us. , it’s hearty, fresh, and incredible value. Oh! They have spacious surau too."
"Best local food hunt !! Being a local that hopped on a food hunt yesterday and I got blown away by the intense flavours of the food prepared. Don't be shocked by the Sotong Rojak pricing coz it worth the price for the portion served. Rest assured you won't be disappointed after some narrow drive out from the toll. The food and atmosphere are superb during our visit, even the kids loved the food served. Definitely will revisit with friends next round."
